If you are wondering what that is, cottagecore is a type of fashion aesthetic that has been popularised by teens and young adults celebrating and appreciating a whimsical and romanticized rural English/European life. Similar aesthetic movements such as farmcore, goblincore, and fairycore also exist as subcultures of this aesthetic movement. Today, we have chosen our favorite houses centered around this look for you to add to your Minecraft world!
Cottagecore Tower House

This house is structured out of mostly prismarine blocks, oak wood, spruce wood, and stone bricks. If prismarine is a bit out of reach for you, don’t worry! We recommend you use a cyan-colored block and use it in place. The whimsicalness of this build is created through its fairy-like structure and the addition of overgrowth with some of the new azalea leaves. This tutorial is incredibly elaborate and easy to follow. You should have no problems building this with their instruction. Also, this build doesn’t require any resource packs or modifications in the game, so you can add this build to your world without the hassle! Sadly, this tutorial does not include instruction for the interior; however, this leaves room for you to get creative and build whatever is most practical for you!
Easy Cottagecore Starter House

This build is a perfect addition to your world whether for your main starter house or a lovely storage house with the inclusion of a greenhouse! This build is mostly made of oak wood, spruce wood, stone bricks, and some white stained glass. As seen in the tower above, this build completes the cottagecore look with the overgrowth and the soft color palette. Also, the coverage of flowers makes the house more romantic and pleasant to live at! There is no spoken dialogue in this tutorial, but don’t be fooled! The tutorial is really easy to follow and you should have no trouble at all creating this adorable home. Finally, this build has incredible interior design ideas which really tie the build together. If you want a survival build that is easy and cute, this build is for you!
Aesthetic Cozy Cottagecore House

This house is not only incredibly adorable on the outside, but includes so many subtle intricacies that allow you to feel at home in the game! From the flower beds at the windows to the lovely fences that surround the deck to enter the house, this house truly encapsulates the cottagecore aesthetic. This house is primarily made of oak wood, birch wood, and granite. This house looks lovely with the shaders and modifications, but it won’t look too cute without them. We recommend this house if you are willing to add these changes shown in the description of the video. The interior, too, is adorable and fits the cottagecore aesthetic while maintaining practicality for survival mode.
Honeycomb Cottagecore House

We are in love with this house for its simplicity, elegance, and unique creation! Honeyblocks create a lovely texture that pairs well with the stripped birch blocks and spruce wood. The soft color palette allows the build to have the cottagecore feel with a new, unique pattern! As shown earlier, jjaaxxthelegend has great tutorials that are easy to follow, but again, there is no interior instruction. However, there is no need to fret! This build is a smaller space and doesn’t require that much creativity inside, so you don’t need to have much expertise.
Simple Cottagecore Survival Base

The tutorial is easy to follow, but it can be a bit fast, so you probably have to pause it and resume it while following along. Otherwise, this build is really simple and the material collection is as well. The build is made of mostly oak wood, spruce wood, and various stones. If you want to really increase the aesthetics of this build, we recommend adding overgrowth along the roof and chimney. Also, the addition of mossy stone bricks on the roof could enhance the vibes of the build. Overall, this build is incredibly adorable and perfect for your survival world!

The build is pretty straightforward, yet really spacious inside! Croissant Cat has really adorable interior ideas, but not all of which are that practical when it comes to survival. For our last house, we have Dad’s Guide’s Minecraft cottage house! The house is different from others with its unique color palette! The tutorial is incredibly easy to follow and the materials are not terribly difficult to collect. Fun fact: this build is the only one that includes a level-thirty enchanting table inside! If you are looking for a survival-practical home, this is the build for you. This home is primarily made of green terracotta, spruce wood, dark oak wood, and stone.
